About Us
Shircliff Construction, owned and operated by Don and Laura Shircliff, has been building unique and beautiful homes since 1993. While Don’s focus was always within the construction industry, it was not always on becoming a general contractor or log home expert.
“Don earned an associate degree in architectural design at Northwest Technical Institute in Eden Prairie, but found he ‘made more money pounding nails’ and enjoyed it more too.” Now, having nearly 20 years of construction experience under his belt, Don never regrets his decision to start up his own company.
Don’s education serves him well, allowing him to be exceptionally creative in drafting and building. At times, Shircliff Construction will work with Thomas Log Crafters, an experienced and creative architect based out of Alexandria, MN.

In 2000 Shircliff Construction built our lake home. The job was completed professionally from start to finish in about four months. We have been so pleased with our home that in 2008 we decided to put on an addition. They were willing to work with us to decide what we wanted and to make it not "look" like an addition. We are nearing completion now and are very happy with the results. We have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel. Their work is done in a professional manner and they will stand behind what they build.
